My work explores abstract painting as a threshold between the seen and the sensed. Each piece functions as a kind of portal, inviting viewers into contact with inner states. I work with layered acrylic and metallic watercolor to build shifting fields of color, light, and texture that speak directly to the subconscious.

 

Color is the primary language in this series. Intuitive yet intentional combinations. From deep, grounding blues to electric metallics. They are used to evoke nervous system responses and emotional atmospheres. Metallic passages catch and release light as the viewer moves, creating a subtle time based experience that mirrors the way internal states continually change.

 

These paintings grow out of my parallel practice with hypnosis, ritual, and somatic awareness. Just as trance work loosens fixed narratives, the nonfigurative spaces in these works offer viewers room to project, feel, and reconfigure their own inner stories. Rather than offering a single interpretation, each “portal” is an open proposition. A space to cross into quiet, expansion, or recalibration, and to notice what surfaces when language falls away.
